Best Practice Guideline to download
According to an estimate of OECD, particles emitted by diesel combustion engines cause only in Germany every year more than 40,000 premature deaths. Since 1982 a highly effective technology is available to reduce this emission. Today more than 100 million filters are deployed in road vehicles, construction machines, forklifts, etc. The retrofitting cost is less than a tenth of the health costs.
The attached "Best Practice Guideline" gives a comprehensive overview about the most relevant tasks and technology questions. Amongst others, readers will find information concerning the following topics:
- Health problems caused by diesel combustion engines without filter systems
- Vehicle types concerned
- Technology of filter systems
- Retrofitting
- Operation, diagnosis, and maintenance of filter systems
